MARCIA COPPEL | PAINTNGS & DRAWINGS

Marcia  Coppel's Whimsical Nudes series began with imaginative semi-abstracted line drawings of nudes in life drawing classes at the Institution Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  She continued to draw in open studio venues when she moved back to the United States.  She enjoys rapid line ink drawings. 
She later began to use multiple images of the same model.  Then she started to layer the images over each other and added colored ink and graphite. She makes abstract images using the overlapping lines of the overlapping images and graphite and/or heavy ink lines.
